The RÖNTGEN RRR-Plus (hardback) tool steel band saw blade is made of strip steel with a pin-point microstructure (carbide density 30–50 carbide grains per 100 µm²). Hard iron carbides provide good wear resistance at the tooth tip and in the backing band. Thanks to a special heat treatment of the back material, RRR-Plus (hardback) offers increased strength and low wear, allowing higher cutting parameters.
